

Lou was born in Tulelake, California to George and Vivian Ouillette on October 5, 1937, the oldest of three. Lou was a veteran of the United States Navy as a Radioman 3rd class, and was deployed to The Persian Gulf, (USS Requisite AGS-18), the Arctic Circle and Antarctica, (USS Atka AGB-3). He married his love, Rae Anne on July 22, 1961 in Phoenixville, Pennsylvania. They resided there for nine years before moving to Naples, Florida in 1970. He worked various jobs for more than fifty years including: entrepreneur, heavy equipment operator, truck driver, computer repair, and airport security. Lou belonged to the local ham radio club and volunteered with the civil defense team, providing short-wave radio communications during various states-of-emergency, from 1980 to 2000.
Lou is preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Rae Anne; by both parents, George and Vivian; and his sister and brother-in-law Lorena and George LeMaire.
Lou is survived by his three sons and daughters-in-law: Scott and Sandra, George and Jeanne, Thomas and Valerie; his brother and sister-in-law, Larry and Becky Ouillette; his sister-in-law Linda Weinland; several grandchildren: Nicole Lovelady (Christopher), Scott, Kyle, Colin, and Lucas; one great grandchild, Christen; and one great-great grandchild, Adelyn.
A memorial service will be held Tuesday November 11, 2025, 10 a.m. at Hodges Funeral Home at Naples Memorial Gardens (525 111th Ave N). Interment of ashes will follow in the memorial gardens at Grace Lutheran Church (860 Banyan Blvd).
