Marie was the beloved wife of Michael M. Frino, who preceded her in death. They were high school sweethearts and were married in May of 1948. They were a beautiful example of a loving marriage for all their family to witness.
Marie was born in Newark, NJ, daughter of Angela and Joseph Nittoli. She devoted her life to her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her son, Michael D. Frino & his wife Margaret, of Naples and Brenda Frino Conneely & her husband Thomas, of Union, NJ. She was a loving grandmother to Michael G. & Lori Frino, Amy (Frino) & Jeffrey Owler, Lindsay (Conneely) & Steven Zahodnick, Thomas (TJ) & Marissa Conneely. She was a proud great-grandmother to her eight great-grandchildren: Gabriella, Gianna, & Giuliana Frino, Owen & Leah Owler, Nolan & Colette Zahodnick, and Lorelai Conneely. She has one surviving sister, Doris Anzano and was predeceased by four sisters, Elaine Mari, Julie Marcell, Eva Mistretta and Carol Camardella and one brother, Anthony Nittoli.
She volunteered with the Naples Community Hospital Auxiliary knitting hats and booties for newborn babies, earning 10,000 volunteer hours. She enjoyed water aerobics, and playing Mexican Train Dominos with friends.
A beautiful celebration of her life was celebrated at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church on Wednesday, April 18, 2018, followed by a service at Naples Memorial Gardens. She left us all wanting to be a little more like her ❤️.
