Mary, you have been gone over a year now and I still miss you so much. It still seems like a dream for me that you are no longer up the street. Time goes on and stops for no one. Things change. New people are in your house. I can hardly stand it when I pass by and can't see your lights in the den you always left burning. I love you dearly and you will always be apart of my life. Be happy my dearest friend until we meet again.

Hi Aunt Mary. You and I had so much fun at the Outer Banks along with my brothers and my cousins. When pop Steve(Peachy) called my house and told us you had passed I was very sad. Dear Aunt Mary,

I am glad we had the opportunity to speak on Wednesday. It was a big surprise to hear from Jeanine that you had passed away. I am happy you did not suffer during your brief illness.

It was so good to see all of your family members and friends at the Memorial Service. You would have been so happy to see how many individuals friends attended the service.

Now that you are in heaven, I am wondering if you would please do me a favor? Would you please say hello to my Dad, Nana, Pop pop and let them know how much we all miss them. I know you are probably having a blast with my Dad, Uncle Stevie, Aunt Margie, Uncle Mickey, Uncle Joey and Aunt Millie.

Well Aunt Mary, I guess I should sign off for now. Please know you were a very special and important person in my life and I will never forget you.

We were so fortunate to have you in our lives for over 25 years..  Mike, Michelle and myself loved you like our own mother and you always treated us as your own children.  How lucky were our children to have you as their grandmother, they all loved you so much.  The tight bond you had with my son John cannot be replaced.  You gave such loving care to my Dad!  Thank you for the memories.  Your legacy will live on in your beloved "Paradise".  We miss you!

Today is going to be a really hard day for me. We will put Mary Hutten to rest.She sent me a card a few years back that said God plans so many of the little details in your life that it makes sense that He plans big things like friendships. I think He planned for us to be friends and I'm really glad He did and I feel so blessed to have you for my friend. I still have the card. She is in my heart but it's not the same. I would love to be able to say something at her mass but the words won't come so I put them here. She came into my life as she left, a happy woman with a big smile on her face who accepted any challange. I was blessed to be able to whisper my goodbys to her with hugs and kisses that I pray she felt. Mary I know you are in a better place and back in the arms of Ken. I love you with all my heart.You were a wonderful neighbor, like a mother to me but most of all you were a really great friend. I miss you so very much. I do hope there is a CRacker Barrel in Heaven.Love you

Aunt Mary, your beautiful heart touched so many, but none so more than your McLaughlin family. We were blessed to have you with us so much these last few years, and my boys and I will love you and miss you forever!

I didn't know Mary for very long, but she was a vivacious, caring and precious lady who I will never forget.  It was my honor to have met her and be able to spend some time with her.  May she rest in peace with her beloved Kenny.
