Max Dean Cherrington, 79, of Naples passed away on January 24, 2014 while surrounded by his loving family. Max was born in Findlay, OH and later lived in Uhrichsville and Canton, OH. Max’s farm in Ohio was the heart of the whole family where he held an annual corn roast and the family spent the weekends together.
Upon relocation to Naples in 1983, he worked in maintenance at Naples Harbor Yacht Club and installed blinds. Max’s pride and joy was his family. He enjoyed family vacations to Ocean City, MD and every Sunday he could be found at his favorite sports bar cheering on the Cleveland Browns with his special mug.
Max’s family knows him to be “Ol’ Reliable;” he was always an hour early and never missed a reason to celebrate with his family. His favorite past times included telling his grandfather’s famous sayings to his grandchildren, sharing stories about the farm, and talking about when the Browns used to be competitive.
He is survived by his lifetime companion Lois Halpin and his children, Sally Godley, Timothy (Bridget) Cherrington, Tammy (Michael) McEndree, Terri (Bob) White, Troy (Lori) Cherrington, Tracie (Lee) Furiga.
