Mildred Ann Bridges

Born on March 29, 1934 in Staten Island, New York to Ruby and Jennings Kibler, Millie devoted her life to caring for and loving her family.

She married Bernard (Bernie) Bridges on July 9, 1951 and celebrated 60 years of marriage on July 9, 2011. Millie and Bernie moved to Fort Wayne, Indiana in 1953 where she raised her family and supported her husband as they built a successful family business that thrives to this day. Naples was her winter home for over 30 years until recent years when she made it her year-round residence. She was loved by all who knew her and will always be remembered for her incredible generosity, kind spirit, hospitality, and amazing strength and perseverance.

Surviving are her four children: Glen Bridges of Naples, Sandy Pense of Fort Wayne, LeAnn Toth of Naples, Diane Smith of Naples, her six grandchildren including Heather Bridges, Traci VanDalsem, Angela Leland, Richey & Brendan Brooks, and Olivia Smith, as well as three great grandchildren: Hawkins, Colton, and Leighton VanDalsem, and Millie’s brothers Wally and Robert (Rocky) Kibler and sister Rosalie Wern.

Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, February 24, 2015 at 3:00 PM at Hodges Funeral Home at Naples Memorial Gardens. Burial will follow at a later date at Covington Memorial Cemetery, Fort Wayne, Indiana.
