Raphael was born in Port of Spain, Trinidad, to Lorna and Rafael Sr, on June 30, 1937. He went into the Royal Air Force as a young man. He remained in London after the RAF, where he met and married Joyce on August 7, 1962. They later immigrated to the United States where he worked as a Tax specialist for Chemical Bank in New York City prior to retiring. He and Joyce retired to Punta Gorda FL, where they enjoyed a quiet life with friends and family in the area.
Raphael is preceded in death by his beloved wife Joyce, brothers Esmond, Maurice, Orrin, Ernest and sisters Greta, Maureen and Arleen.
Raphael is survived by Children: Christopher and wife Ramona Tarquini, Richard and wife Kathryn. Brother: Jasper, Sisters: Jacinth, and Asta. Grandchildren:, Christopher, Michael, Amy, and Kimberly.
