Robert Paul Josselyn

Robert P. Josselyn, of Naples, Florida was born in Pittsfield, Massachusetts in August of 1939. Bob was a United States Army Veteran and a resident of Lanesborough, MA where he owned and operated Sanitary Septic & Service for fifteen years. Bob’s civic duties in Massachusetts including sitting as the Chairman of the Highway Department, serving as a member of the Building Committee, the Governors’ Advisory Panel on Recreational Use of State Lands and founding a county wide youth hockey league that is still active today. A sports enthusiast, Bob enjoyed running, skiing, canoeing and returned to compete in a final Josh Billings RunAground Triathlon in his seventies.

As a resident of Florida, Bob and Charlene, his wife of 55 years, owned Garage Doors of Naples for just shy of thirty years before retiring. As a board member of The Naples Sailing & Yacht Club, The Moorings Bay Club, Indies West and Admiralty Point, Bob thrived on challenges and the friendship of those who worked beside him.

A seasonal resident of Beech Mountain, NC, Bob found a new passion for cycling and golf. A fierce competitor, he successfully competed in the Blood, Sweat & Gears in Valle Crucis and held many club championships on the Beech Mountain Golf Course. Always striving to be the best version of himself Bob fought to be healthy and active every day of his life without complaint. Happiest when with friends and his wife, their residences from Lanesborough to Naples and Beech Mountain were always welcoming to guests and family to enjoy.

Bob is survived by the love of his life, Charlene Josselyn and their two daughters Melissa Josselyn and Ali Claremont and his four grandchildren, Lily, Spencer, Sophia and Tucker as well as Bob’s sister Carol Sosinski, and nephews Joey and Patrick Sosinski, Anthony Coker and Walter Josselyn III.

A memorial service is to be held at Hodges Memorial Gardens located at 525 111th Avenue North in Naples, FL on Tuesday December 28th from 1:00 to 3:00PM
