Rod Nobrega

Rod Nobrega, 50, of Ft. Myers, Florida, passed away August 3, 2016. He was a loving husband, father, son, brother, and friend who always made us laugh and would do anything for anyone. He is being remembered by friends as such a genuine, caring guy full of wit and charm. The Lord took him way too soon but he lives in our hearts forever, never to be forgotten.

He was born in Queens, New York, October 26, 1965 and graduated from Morris Knolls High School, Rockaway, New Jersey. He was married to his loving wife, Faith, for 32 years. Rod had a career in Car Rental for 30 years with National/Alamo, Enterprise, and Avis Budget Group. When he was not with family and friends you would find him on the water doing what he loved most, fishing.

He is survived by his wife Faith, two sons Rod Nobrega, III (Faith) of Ft. Myers, FL and Fr. Matthew Nobrega of Villalbilla, Spain. Parents: Marge & Dick Norman, Rod Nobrega, Sr. & Martha Findley. Sisters: Suzanne Prestia (Larry) and Robyn Alt (Bob). Brothers: Ricki Norman (Marybeth), Michael Norman (Deceased). Brother-in-law Nick Banko (Tammy). Sister in-laws: Jennifer Thompson (Eric) and Bonnilynn Banko. In-laws: Kathy Banko, Nick Banko (Joan).

A Visitation will held Monday, August 8th from 1-3pm and 5-7pm at Hodges Funeral Homes at Naples Memorial Gardens, 525 111th Avenue North, Naples, Florida. A Funeral Mass will be held Tuesday, August 9th at 10:30am at Our Lady of Light Catholic Church, 19680 Cypress View Drive, Ft. Myers, Florida.
