

Tessie Garcini Lamadrid, 89 of Naples Florida passed away on November 5th, 2025 at Avow Hospice House, Naples, FL surrounded by her loving husband Carlos, daughter Tess, son-in-law Brian and her beloved dog Lola.
Tessie was born in Cuba to Hector and Maria Leal Garcini on May 23, 1936. She married Carlos Lamadrid in Havana, Cuba, on June 28, 1958. In 1961, Tessie and Carlos courageously fled the Cuban Communist regime with their two young children to seek a new and better life in the United States. Tessie will always be remembered for her passion and devotion as a wife and mother. She was a talented artist whose works of art are proudly hung on the walls of her children’s homes. She was always an advocate for those less fortunate and spent her empty nester years volunteering, most recently founding along with her husband the St Vincent de Paul Chapter at St Finbarr Catholic Church.
Tessie is survived by her husband of 67 years Carlos, her children, Lucas Lamadrid and Beth Kreitzer and their children Claire, Grace and Jack, Tessie and Brian Black and their daughter Lauren, Carlos and Heather Lamadrid and their children Andrew and Isabela, Carol Lamadrid and Camillo Jimenez and their son Luca along with her great granddaughter Hadley Lamadrid.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 11am, Thursday, November 13th at St. Finbarr Catholic Church, 13520 Tamiami Trail E, Naples, FL 34114. Interment will be private.
The family of Tessie wishes to extend our sincere thanks to her dedicated primary care physician, Dr Cosmina Popa and the wonderful caregivers at Avow at home hospice and The Avow Hospice House.
