Wallace "Wally" Shaw DePuy, DDS of Naples, Florida passed away on February 6, 2019 at the age of 74. He was born in Hackensack, New Jersey on December 13, 1944. Wally graduated from Cocoa High School. He graduated from Emory University where he received his DDS from the college of Dentistry.
He began his career in Virginia as a Captain in the United Stated Army. Following that, he practiced in Cleveland, Ohio for 15 years. In 1986 he and his family moved to Naples, Florida. There he practiced an additional 31 years. Prior to his retirement in 2017, he spent the last 14 years working with his dear friend Dr. Charles Cano at Naples Family Dentistry.
Wally was a member of many professional and community organizations including, The American Dental Association, The Florida Dental Association and the Collier County Dental Association.
He had a passion for life and enjoyed wood working, boating and fishing, scuba diving, aviation, golf and motorcycles.
He is survived by his loving wife Deborah Ann DePuy, daughter and son-in-law Gretchen Mazzulo Lang and David Lang, daughter Kimberly Ann Mazzulo, and adoring grandsons Griffin, Anders and Nicholas Lang. He is also survived by his sister Diane Stafford.
The Prayer Service and Celebration of Life will be held at 2pm on Saturday, February 16th at Hodges Funeral Home at Naples Memorial Gardens.
