

He grew up in the Milwaukee area. His parents Walter Sr. and Harriet, and his sister Susan preceded him.
He is survived by his much loved wife, Patricia (Tricia); his beloved children, Michael (Cathy) and Lisa (George) Kozlowski Riekerk; his loved stepsons, Todd (Christine) and Shawn (Candi); proud grandfather of Kayla, Annalise, Nicolai, Alyssa, and Zoe; cousins, brother-in-law and other relatives and friends.
Walt was proud to serve in the Air Force as a Judge Advocate in Germany and retired as a Major (1958-1972).
In his civilian life he was Assistant General Attorney and Franchise Administrator at Parker Pen. He went on to retire from Manpower Inc. in Milwaukee as Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary.
He retired to Naples, Florida in 1996. He was always happy to see family especially the grandkids. He and Tricia had many adventures as they traveled extensively. He enjoyed writing letters to the editor and was talented in painting and music. He loved to fish, read, garden and taking lifelong learning classes.
A funeral service for Walter will be held Saturday, August 31, 2024 at 12:00 PM at Saint John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 625 111th Ave N, Naples, FL 34108. Following the funeral service will be an entombment at 1:00 PM at Hodges Funeral Home at Naples Memorial Gardens, 525 111th Ave N, Naples, FL 34108.
