Aida Medal Sakovic, age 86 years, passed away on June 2, 2017. Loving wife of the late Ronald F. Sakovic. Father of John Matus (Chris M. Matus) and Aida Sapieha. Grandmother of Johnny Matus, Steven Matus (Summer B. Matus), Ryan Sapieha (Tricia Sapieha), Sean Sapieha, Jessica Sapieha, Cassandra Sapieha, and Samantha Sapieha. Great grandmother of Jadon Matus and Scarlett Matus. She is also survived by five of her siblings and numerous nieces, nephews and family members. She is preceded in death by four of her siblings and her parents. Aida will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Service in the Chapel of Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd., on Monday, June 12, 20017 at 11AM. Visitation will begin at 9AM until service time. Interment will follow in Metairie Cemetery.
