Alan H. Davis, at the age of 59, passed away on June 13, 2021. He was born on July 24, 1961 in New Orleans, LA. He was a graduate of St. Stanislaus in Bay St. Louis, MS. He worked in sales and was the owner of AHD Consultants. He was an avid prankster who loved Mardi Gras and was a Board member of the Krewe of Bacchus. He was a vibrant man who loved fishing, cooking, hosting crawfish boils, scuba diving, boating, decorating for holidays, and arranging jubilant firework displays. He enjoyed Camp Horseshoe and loved eating chocolate and ice cream which is part of the family's “Levy gene”. But his favorite thing was being “Papa” to his grandchild, Camille.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Marilyn W. Davis. He is survived by his father, Alvin H. Davis; his sons, Benjamin J. Davis, Jonathan L. Davis, and Joshua R. Davis; his sister, Pamela D. Lyles (Jack); his brother, Leonard A. Davis (Sharon Jacobs); his grandchild, Camille M. Davis; and his nieces and nephews, Jeffrey Lyles, Taylor Lyles, Eleanor Davis, Edward Davis, Erica Bordeaux (Pierre), Jessy Jacobs, Jenny Jacobs, and Sissy Jacobs.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, June 22, 2021 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Mardi Gras World at 1380 Port of New Orleans, in New Orleans, LA 70130. A private burial for immediate family will be at Hebrew Rest, officiated by Rabbi Daniel Sherman of Temple Sinai. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his honor to music programs for New Orleans schools through the Krewe of Bacchus Foundation at 1215 Prytania Street, Suite 227, in New Orleans, LA 70130.
