

Alma Rebecca Minter Wilson (Becky), age 89, passed away peacefully on February 4, 2018, in Jefferson, Louisiana. She was born on October 5, 1928 in Richmond, Virginia to Kenneth Andrew Minter and Alma Archer Morris. Becky graduated from Pan American Business School in Richmond, VA and retired from Hibernia National Bank in New Orleans. She loved working in the National Division, and had many cherished memories of her time there with her co-workers. Becky enjoyed volunteering with the STAIR Program for many years and assisted numerous young children with their reading abilities. She was also an artist and loved to paint, and enjoyed watching football. Becky was entirely devoted to her grandchildren, would help out with anything at the drop of a hat, and was known to never say an unkind word about anyone. She will be remembered as a truly selfless, sweet, and kind person, and will be greatly missed by all who were blessed to know her. Becky resided for many years in Belle Chasse and Metairie. She was predeceased by her parents, her husband Jessie Woodrow Wilson, and her siblings Kenneth A. Minter, Evelyn Hughey, Margaret Brown and Mary Prokop. Becky is survived by her daughter, Valerie Truax (Dalton, III), her grandchildren Dalton Truax, IV and Lindsey Truax, her loving sisters Clara Rawls and Jane Miller (Marty), her stepchildren Sheilla Taylor, J. W. Wilson, Jr., Sandra Parks, and Kathy LeCato and numerous extended family members. A private memorial service will be held at All Saints Mausoleum at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home and Cemeteries.
