

Anna was born March 4, 1926 in New Orleans, LA to Angelina Lofaso Roccaforte and William Roccaforte of Sicily, Italy. She attended Henry W. Allen High School and then trained and worked as a secretary. After marrying Raymond Paul Augustin in 1949, she devoted her life to her family and was a homemaker. When she was not busy in the home, she enjoyed gardening. She was a devout Catholic and a member of St. Luke the Evangelist Church. Later in life she served as Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion at Chateau de Notre Dame. Also while at Chateau de Notre Dame, she was on the Officer Resident’s Council and was the Queen of their Mardi Gras Ball.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Raymond Augustin; her son, Deacon Paul Augustin; parents, William and Angelina Roccaforte; and brother, Frank W. Roccaforte.
Anna is survived by her devoted children, daughter Gerianne Augustin Wright (Roger B. Wright) and son Raymond P. Augustin, Jr (Jean Pachankis Augustin); daughter-in-law, Pamela Quarles Augustin; as well as nine grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are invited to pay tribute to her long-life well lived on Wednesday, June 3, 2026 at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd in New Orleans. Visitation begins at 10:00 a.m. followed the Funeral Mass at 12:00 noon. Interment to follow at Lake Lawn Park Mausoleum after a short procession.
