Annabelle Arnold Breerwood passed away on Thursday Sept. 12, 2024. Born on Jan. 12, 1921 in Bay St. Louis, Miss. A long time resident of Metairie, LA. Preceded in death by her husband, Elmer L. Breerwood; daughter, Dawn Breerwood; sisters, Helen, Joyce, Ruth (Poocie), Dorothy (Dotsie), Judy, Beverly; and brother, Jack. Survived by children William (Carol), Gregory (Marie), Michael, Derek (Jamie), Barbara; grandchildren Mark, Stacey, Christine, Stephanie, Jennifer, Rhett, John, Adam, Sara and multiple great grandchildren. She graduated from St. Joseph Academy in Bay St. Louis where she met her husband at St. Stanislaus. She was a widow for 35 years and lived alone except the last 7 months. She was fully aware and cognizant until the very end. Her passion as a girl was walking along the beach and swimming in the Bay. Later on she loved ballroom dancing in which she performed locally in Texas and Florida. Thanks to the caregivers at Serenity II for their care and compassion. Services are on Monday, Sept. 23, 2024 at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd New Orleans, LA 70124. Visitation will be from 11:00AM to 1:00PM followed by a mass at 1:00PM and internment.
