Anthony "Tony" Angello

Anthony “Tony” Angello, founder of Tony Angello’s Ristorante, passed away on Tuesday, July 14, 2015, age 88 years. Husband of the late Mary Mustacchia Angello. He is survived by his daughter Angela Angello Riviere, son-in-law Bruce Riviere, grandsons Anthony Riviere (Lauren) and Andrew Riviere, and great granddaughter Avery Riviere. Preceded in death by his parents Calogero Angello and Rosa Latino Angello, brother Joseph Angello, and sisters Frances Angello Sparacio and Catherine Angello Catalanotto.

The family wishes to express their deepest appreciation to nephew Frank Catalanotto for his devotion, care, and many hours spent working side-by-side with his uncle, to loyal employee Dale Messina, and to his special caregiver Valerie Loup for her kindness to Mr. Tony.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at St. Dominic Catholic Church, 775 Harrison Ave., in New Orleans, on Monday, July 20, 2015 at 2:00 PM. A visitation will be held at the Church from 10:00 AM until time of service, and a wake will be held on Sunday evening, July 19, at LAKE LAWN METAIRIE FUNERAL HOME, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd., from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, Masses preferred or donations can be made to Brother Martin High School, New Orleans, LA, or St. Paul’s School, Covington, LA.
