

Anthony “Tony” “Little Al” H. Romano, age 95, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 2, 2015 in the arms of his companion, devoted “Precious One” of 21 years, Jacqueline Baudin. He was preceded in death by his wife, Pearl Romano; brothers, Charlie and Willie Romano; sister, Mary Romano; and parents, Lottie and Charles Romano. He is survived by his son, Anthony; granddaughter, Randi; great granddaughter, Bailey; great grandson, Elliot; and nephew, Charles Romano (wife: Crystal). He is also survived by his extended family, JoAnn and Mike Porter and her family, who devoted their love to him. Tony proudly served in the U. S. Navy during World War II. He was a carpenter all of his life, and belonged to the Carpenter Union. He belonged to many clubs, including Italian American Society, Italian American Marching Club, Greater New Orleans Italian Cultural Society, St. Angela Men’s Association, The Dragon’s Club, The American Legion Metairie Post 175, VFW Metry Post 6640, T.O.G.O.M., and AARP 4273. Tony was proud of his Italian heritage. He loved to dance, drink his red wine, eat pasta, going to the casino, and spending time with his friends at Critic’s Choice. He worked at Maison Blanche for many years, and was known as Mr. Maison Blanche. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at LAKE LAWN METAIRIE FUNERAL HOME, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. in New Orleans, on Monday, December 7, 2015 at 1:00PM.
