On February 8, 2016, Barbara Plum Fererro died at her family home at the age of 84. She was born in Kalamazoo, Michigan the beloved daughter of the late Cecile and Hazel Plum and sister to the late Richard Plum. After graduating from Nazareth College with a degree in nursing , she moved to New Orleans where she later met and married the late Milton Fererro. She is survived by her 4 loving children, Mark Fererro, Nancy Fererro Acosta, John Fererro, and Paul Fererro. Mother in law to her dear daughter in law Stacey Sandoz Fererro. Barbara has 6 cherished grandchildren, Sydney, Sam, Luke, Maggie, Sophia and Matthew who will miss her deeply.
Barbara was a member of The United Methodist Women’s organization and enjoyed fellowship with the other women in her circle.
Relatives and friends are invited to a service in memory of Barbara to be held at St. Matthews United Methodist Church, 6017 Camphor Street Metairie, LA 70003, on Friday February 19, at 6:30pm.
