

Carroll graduated from high school and went on to serve his country in the U.S. Army. He later built a long career in sales and retired from Frito-Lay. He will be remembered with respect and gratitude by all who knew him.
In his personal life, Carroll found enjoyment in the things that brought people together, including his love of cars and sports. Whether following LSU football and baseball or cheering on the New Orleans Saints, he carried a loyal spirit and a lasting enthusiasm for the teams and traditions that made Louisiana feel like home.
Carroll was preceded in death by his spouse of 26 years, Janice Schnauder Albert; his step-son, Alan Lombard; his parents, Lawrence and Nora H. Albert; and his brother in law, Vernon Kliebert, Sr.
He is survived by his daughters, Ann Albert Taravella (Marc) and Mary Beth Albert Lassere (David); his step daughter, Wendy Lombard; his stepson, Paul Lombard; his grandchildren, Michael Taravella (Rebecca), Daniel Taravella, David (D.J.) Lassere, and Jamie Gates Nipe (David); his great-grandchildren, Evelyn and Lena Taravella, Jaxon and Colton Keller, and Bailey, Ashtin Stuart and Peyton Nipe; his great-great grandchild, Elijah James Stuart; and his sister, Marlene A. Kliebert.
The family would like to give special thanks to the staff at Metairie Healthcare Center for their care and kindness. In lieu of flowers, the family asks you to consider a donation to a charity of your choice in Carroll’s name.
Visitation will be held at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd., New Orleans, LA on May 9, 2026, from 9:00am to 10:00am. A Funeral Mass will begin at 10:00am. Graveside will follow in Lake Lawn Park Mausoleum.
