Charles Vincent Weil, of New Orleans, passed away on August 21, 2025, at the age of 79. Born to David A. Weil, Sr. and Pearl R. Sanchez, Charles served in the U.S. Army and worked as an Electrical, PBX, and Network Technician. He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Bivalacqua Weil; his daughter, Stephanie Weil Cuneo; his brothers, Melvin Dennis Weil, Lawrence Weil, and his brothers-in-law ,Sal Bivalacqua, Lionel Bivalacqua, and Eddie Bivalacqua. He is survived by his brother, David Weil, sisters-in-law Earlene Weil, Marilyn Weil, Carol Bivalacqua, and Billie Bivalacqua; his daughter, Christina Weil von Seherr-Thoss and son-in-law Anselm von Seherr-Thoss; Beloved grandchildren, Harrison Charles LeBlanc, Jacob Ambrose LeBlanc, Elena LeBlanc Czerniak and grandson-in-law Luke Czerniak; along with many adored nieces and nephews.
Services will be held on Wednesday, September 3, 2025, at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. New Orleans, LA 70124. The visitation will begin at 9:00 am until the memorial mass at 10:00 a.m. The interment will follow at Lake Lawn Park Mausoleum.
