

Charlotte Joint Rivet, a lifelong resident of New Orleans, was tragically taken from us at the age of 68 on Friday, April 17, 2015. She was preceded in death by her parents; George T. Joint, Sr. and Marjorie McGoey Joint. Survivors include: sons, Clinton Joint Rivet (Christie) and Charles ‘Chad’ Rivet (Carmen); she was “LOTTIE” to her grandchildren, Silvia, Charlie, Chase and Cooper; brother, George T. Joint, Jr. (Linda); nephews, David (Alicia) and Richard (Sudie) Joint; niece, Elizabeth Joint; great nephews, Grayson, Harrison, and Julian; great niece, Hazel. She had many loving cousins, nieces, nephews and numerous friends. Charlotte graduated from St. Joseph’s Academy and Loyola University where she earned a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and was a member of many organizations. She was a successful real estate agent for many years through Gardner Realtors, from which she recently received the Service to the Community Lifetime Award. Charlotte was active in many garden clubs, neighborhood, and civic organizations. Charlotte was fiercely loyal to her family and the city of New Orleans. She lived life to the fullest. Her favorite things were spending time with her boys, grandchildren, family, and friends. She also loved to garden, cook, cheer for Louisiana sports teams, and enjoyed attending and hosting parties. She had a big laugh and an even bigger heart and was a fun loving person who will be sadly missed by all. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 6666 Spanish Fort Blvd., N.O., LA on Wednesday, April 22, 2015 at 1:00 PM. Interment will follow In St. Patrick Cemetery # III. Visitation in Church on Wednesday from 11:00 AM until service time. In lieu of flowers donations are preferred to Jesuit High School Scholarship Fund.
