Cobb Rutherford Barksdale “Sonny” passed away on March 1, 2026 at his home in New Orleans after a short illness. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Helen Barksdale as well as his niece, Brooke Angles and her husband, Steve. Sonny loved fishing and music and he was an avid enthusiast of New Orleans and Southern Louisiana culture.
