I think of Dale often as we enjoy the side yard that used to be your home on Ada Place. Her maple tree has gotten so big. We are so sorry for your loss. Margaret and Chuck

I was so happy that the other Dale in our class at Newman was a girl, because at my previous school the only other Dale was a boy who teased me for having a boys' name.  In addition to our name, we shared many good times playing volleyball & pingpong at school.  We both ended up living in Lakeview, and we had wonderful daughters who attended LSU Health Science MPT program together.  
I'll miss running into Dale at Lakeview Fine Foods.
My thoughts and prayers are with all of her loved ones.

Excellence is only established and maintained deliberately. The reputation of Lakeview Presbyterian Day School was established and maintained through the efforts of  many dedicated childcare professionals, women who cared for each child in their charge as if that child were their own.  In its director Dale Davis  the day school was privileged to have a leader of great competence, but also great passion for her vocation. A respected colleague and friend, Dale leaves a legacy that we will remember and celebrate for years to come.  Well done, good and faithful servant.

I first met Dale Davis when my twin boy/girl twins entered their first schooling at Lakeview Presbyterian Weekday Day where she was director.  The children flourished at that school under her direction.  She was very loving to the children in her care.  I got to know her even better when I started substituting there sometimes helping her in the office.  She is a testament of love to all children and adored her children and grandchildren attending baseball games  the Lakeview Playground where her grandchildren played baseball during the summer.   My heart is with the family.  



I had the honor of meeting Dale in 7th grade when Megan and I transferred to Newman.  Both our moms’ names were Dale, both Dales had a daughter named Beth.  Megan and I became best friends as only middle schoolers can. I spent many a night at the Davis residence and got to witness first hand Dale’s love of her children.  I even got to go to Perdido with the family and witness a wonderful multigenerational  summer tradition that was amazingly spearheaded by the matriarchs. Coming from my small family, it was such a treat to see so many family members together happy to be there and having fun and relaxing.   I am so sorry for the loss of such an amazing lady.  There is no doubt that Dale’s legacy lives on in her girls and their families.   I look forward to a celebration of life at a future date.  The whole family is in my prayers. 

I first met Dale almost 25 years ago when I crossed the country for the first time to attend my brother's wedding to her middle daughter, Emily. I remember then and and in every subsequent trip to New Orleans, she was just a natural mama. She made everyone feel welcome and my 16 year old self will always remember her warmth and welcoming nature. I will always treasure my memories of Mimi.
