

Daniel A. Miranda died unexpectedly on Friday, September 17, 2021, at the age of 49. He was born on January 6, 1979 in New Orleans, Louisiana to Evelio Miranda and the late Lazara Lorez Miranda. Daniel graduated from Crossman Elementary and Peters Junior High School. He begin working at Avondale Shipyard alongside his father, learning how to weld. Daniel went on to work for Irish Channel Funding and recently he worked with his good friend and boss Andrew Nolan with Nolan Construction.
Daniel was very proud of his ability to help anyone in need. He was not shy boasting about his culinary skills in the kitchen as well as at the boiling pot, deeming him our very own, “Crawfish King”! He frequently helped at the Red Door bar where you could always find him at the jukebox (his baby), playing all the hit records. Daniel always helped Tracy Ransier and Katie Holmes during the Endymion parade and much more.
Daniel is preceded in death by his mother Lazara Lorez Miranda; brothers Evelio Miranda and Dennis Miranda. He is survived by his father Ebelio Miranda of Cuba / New Orleans, Louisiana; sister Wanda Sandoval (Emilio) of Kenner, Louisiana; brothers Leandro Miranda (Vivian) of Biloxi, Mississippi, Ricardo Miranda of New Orleans, Louisiana; children Daniel Miranda, Jr. and Danilo Miranda of New Orleans, Louisiana; stepdaughter Kennedy Jackson of New Orleans, Louisiana, fiancé Simone Butler of New Orleans, Louisiana; good friend and mother of his son Daniel, Jr., Regina Brack-Howard; nieces Jeanette Sandoval of Kenner, Louisiana, Kawanna Williams (Darius) of Atlanta, Georgia and Nyla Guerra of New Orleans, Louisiana; great-nieces Darasnti Denali, Dior, Dream, and Dylan Williams of Atlanta, Georgia; nephew Jose Sandoval of Kenner, Louisiana; great-nephews Darius, Jr. and Dylan Williams of Atlanta, Georgia, as well as a host of family and friends.
Daniel was the true definition of a “good guy” and will truly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass in the Chapel of Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home on Thursday, September 30, 2021 at 1:00pm. Visitation will begin at 11:00am. Interment in Lake Lawn Park and Mausoleum.
