David Paul Epperson

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of David Paul Epperson of Metairie, LA. He died suddenly at the age of 53 on August 19, 2023. David was the loving husband to his devoted wife Kim Cefalu Epperson for over 22 years. He was also the loving father of his beloved daughter Emily Ann and his precious son, David Robert. He is survived by brothers Denis Ray and Darin Allen Epperson.

David was preceded in death by his father; David Joe Epperson, and his mother; Sharon Ann Epperson.

David had a successful 25-year career in the beverage industry. He was most recently the Regional Sales Manager for Sparkling Ice for the past 10 years. David thrived at sales, and deeply enjoyed the energy of his job as he met many people and always forged great relationships. He never met a stranger and David always had a great laugh and smile for everyone. David proudly coached at Girard Playground for many years, and he took great pride in working the Girard Booster Club concession stand. David was an avid sports fan and proudly cheered on Rummel Raider sports. His greatest joy was being a father to his two beautiful children, who he was exceptionally proud of and had never ending love and affection.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. in New Orleans, on Friday, August 25, 2023. Visitation starts at 11am until 1pm. A mass at 1pm to follow. Interment will follow at All Saints Mausoleum in Metairie Cemetery.
