David Wayne Johnson, Sr.

David Wayne Johnson, Sr. passed away on Thursday, June 15, 2023 at the age of 63. He was born at Mayport Naval Air Base in Jacksonville, FL and was a resident of Houma, LA. David was a master electrician and project manager. He was a pastor and member of Mount Zion Methodist Church in Valdosta, GA. David loved to work and was a master prankster. He loved to spend time with his family and friends and was always of service to anyone who needed a helping hand. David is preceded in death by his father, Dennis F. Johnson; son, David Wayne Johnson, Jr.; and sister, Diane Causby. He is survived by his wife of 5 years, Debbie Lynn Johnson; his mother, Lavina Johnson McGuyrt; sons, Jimmie Johnson Marrow (Christy), Robbie Johnson and Luke Wayne Johnson; step-sons, Jesse James Eschette, Kenneth James Eschette III and Jrey James Eschette; sisters, Susan Yunker (Dan) and Mary Willis (Harrell); brother, Danny Johnson (Susan); brother-in-law, Ron Causby; 5 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; and many nieces and nephews.
