Dudley Francis Rabalais

Dudley Francis Rabalais passed away on Friday, April 29, 2022, at the age of 90. He was born on May 5, 1931 in Plaucheville, LA to the late Otis and Olive Rabalais. Married to the late Lorraine Wragge Rabalais for 64 years. Loving father of Rhonda Rabalais Audiffred (Deric) and Karen Rabalais Simmons (Don). Grandfather to Crystal Ditcharo (Dominick), Stephen Evans (Katie) and Victoria Simmons; Great grandfather to Evan Ditcharo, Brody Evans, Gavin Ditcharo and Brayden Evans. Survived by brother, Bernard Rabalais and sister-in-law, Marie Brock; and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by brothers Huey, Floyd and Otis (Jim) Rabalais; sisters Theresa Marchand, Cartie Horn and Jessie Naquin Mattern.

Dudley was a dedicated employee for 25 years as a Port Chief Engineering Planning Coordinator for the Port of New Orleans retiring July 8, 1986. He enjoyed fishing, golfing, gardening and flying model airplanes.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd, New Orleans on Tuesday, May 10, 2022 at 12:00PM. Visitation will be from 10:00AM – 12:00PM. Interment will follow the Mass at Lake Lawn Park Mausoleum.
