Elizabeth M. Ferrera passed away on Monday, June 2, 2014, age 69 years. Beloved wife of Don C. Ferrera. Sister of James W. Haddican and wife Connie, Marie H. Doolen and the late John J. Haddican and wife Annalee. Also survived by loving nieces and nephews.
Betty was a graduate of Loyola University, (BS), and from the University of New Orleans, (M.Ed.), and taught for 27 years in both the Catholic Schools of New Orleans, and the Public School System of St. Tammany Parish. She was a parishioner of St. Peter Catholic Church in Covington, LA, and also a volunteer at Covington Food Bank.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at St. Peter Catholic Church, 125 E. 19th Ave., Covington, LA, on Thursday, June 5, 2014 at 11:00 AM. A visitation will be held at the church beginning at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow in Lake Lawn Park, New Orleans.
