Ernest Landry Jr.

Ernest I. Landry, Jr. was born in 1929 and passed away Monday, August 3, 2015 at the age of 86. He is preceded in death by his parents Ernest and Lucille Robelot Landry and his sister Diane Landry Marsh. Beloved husband of 60 years to Ida Rose Padgett Landry. Ernest is also survived by his children Stephen A. Landry (Karen), Mark P. Landry (Brenda), David I. Landry (Sharon), Beth A. Landry and James M. Landry; grandchildren Mark C. Landry (Tara), Matthew S. Landry, Jonathan D. Landry, Justin P. Landry, Katherine E. Landry, Kaitlyn E. Landry, J. Douglas Trammel, Phillip D. Trammel (Kirby) and Kassie M. Trammel; great-grandchildren Cecilia V. Landry and Phillip T. Trammel. A lifelong resident of Louisiana, Ernest graduated from Jesuit High School class of 1946 and Loyola University School of Pharmacy class of 1952. Ernest served in the U.S. Army and was a retired pharmacist from K&B Drug Stores after 31 years of service. He was a parishioner of St. Louis King of France Parish. He enjoyed fly fishing, storytelling, and was a lifelong fan of college football, especially his LSU Tigers.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Mass on Friday, August, 7, 2015 at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Boulevard, New Orleans, LA 70124 at 4:00 pm. Visitation will begin at 2:00 pm. Interment will take place following the services at All Saints Mausoleum.
