Franklin A. Sibley died peacefully in his sleep on Sunday, February 11, 2024. He is preceded in death by his wife, Gloria Boyett Sibley, and his sons, Gary Gene Sibley and Jeffrey Curtis Sibley. He is survived by his children, Cynthia Goodwin (Steve), Kevin Sibley (Sherrie), and Greg Sibley (Liz); eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. He was born on September 25, 1934 in Edwards, New York. He was an aviation mechanic in the United States Air Force and served during the Korean War. He was an assistant corp director and bus driver for the Southern Rebels Drum and Bugle Corp and assistant director for the Bleu Raeders Drum and Bugle Corp. He was the owner of R.J. Marchand’s Contractor Specialties. In lieu of flowers please donate to the Wounded Warriors Project or Vital Care Hospice. Services will be held on Monday, February 19, 2024 at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd New Orleans, LA 70124. Visitation will begin at 10:00AM followed by a service at 2:00PM. Interment will be at All Saint’s Mausoleum.
