It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Gasper Joseph Peri, Jr., a resident of Poplarville, Mississippi; on Tuesday, February 25, 2025 at the age of 85. Gasper was born on January 26, 1940 in New Orleans, Louisiana. He lived a full and vibrant life. Gasper graduated from Redemptorist High School in 1957, an award-winning tackling-back and member of the District Championship winning football team. Gasper attended Delgado Community College, earning a Drafting Degree and utilized his draftsmanship skills for Katz and Besthoff (K&B) and homeowners. Gasper also retired as a Store Manager from the well-known Drug Store, K&B in South Louisiana, where he worked for over 40 years. Gasper thoroughly enjoyed telling stories at family gatherings, saying his quick one-liners, eating at his favorite restaurants, absolutely adoring his pets, and loved to travel. Even in Gasper’s last days, a twinkle was in his eye when we talked about who was his favorite child, grandchild, or great-grandchild. God only knows!
