Gerard Joseph Hoffmann Jr.

Gerard Joseph Hoffmann, Jr passed away on Sunday, December 24, 2023, at the age of 69. Beloved husband of Irena Kay Hoffmann. Son of the late Joy Carriere Hoffmann and the late Gerard Joseph Hoffmann, Sr. Father of Gerard Joseph Schuler (Teresa), Stephen Hoffmann, William Hoffmann, Hunter Hoffmann and Helen Hoffmann. Jerry was the brother of Sheila Hoffmann Knudsen (Kevin), Margaret Elizabeth Hoffmann (Ralph), Cynthia Hoffmann Wingfield (late William “Dee”), Jennifer Marie Hoffmann, Jeanne Hoffmann Waguespack (late Raymond), Jonathan Paul Hoffmann, Raymond Joseph Hoffmann (Nicole) and the late Michael Kirby Hoffmann, Patrick Michael Hoffmann (Jean), and Timothy Francis Hoffmann (Colleen). Jerry is also survived by loving nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and loving family members Timothy Richardson (Melissa), Mark Richardson (Katie), Vicky Jones (Duane). Colonel Hoffmann retired from the Orleans Parish Sheriff office after 38 ½ years of service. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 631 State Street, New Orleans on Saturday, December 30, 2023, beginning at 9:00am followed by a funeral service at 11:30am.
