He was preceded in death by his parents, Lloyd Peter Dugas, Sr. and Rita Berggren Dugas; son, Cody Joseph Dugas; brother, Lloyd Dugas, Jr.; and sister, Elizabeth D. Melancon.
He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Linda Myers Dugas; sons, Garrett Dugas (Danielle), and Daniel Dugas (Stacy); brother, George Dugas, Sr. (Lita); sister, Jackie Dugas; grandchildren, Tatum L. Dugas, Wyatt M. Dugas, and Maxx Anthony Dugas; and several brother in-laws, sister in-laws, nieces, and nephews.
Harry was native of New Orleans and a longtime resident of Luling. He retired from Union Carbide-Taft (DOW Chemical). He was a member of the Knights of Columbus #2409 for 39 years, a lifetime National Rifle Association member, and a coach for the Greater New Orleans Hunter Challenge Organization. Harry was an avid hunter, fisherman, and outdoorsman.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial service on Monday, August 13, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd., New Orleans. Visitation will begin at 12:00 p.m.
