Haydee Teresita Martinez

Haydee C. Martinez passed Friday, October 7, 2016. She was 85 years old. Loving wife of the late Alfredo Emilio Martinez. Beloved mother of Cecilia Mullins (Craig), Ana Eller (Kim), Blanca Dobkin (Bruce), Alfredo Martinez, Jr. (Marie), Maria Schaffer (Chris), Haydee Walker (Jeff), and the late Philip Martinez. Sister of Virginia, Indiana, Yvonne, Franklin, and the late Elga and Henry. Daughter of the late Henry Caldera and Blanca Wheelock. She is also survived by fourteen grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Haydee was a member of the Sunflower Girls, Sociedad Espanola, Ladies Leukemia League, and Casa Argentina.

The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the third floor staff at St. Anna’s in Lambeth House… they always made our mother smile.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Memorial Mass at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. in New Orleans, on Thursday, October 13, 2016 at 12 noon. A visitation will be held at the funeral home beginning at 10:30AM. Interment will be private.
