Helen Turner Eshleman

A lifelong resident of New Orleans she most enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She graduated from Sophie B. Wright High School and attended Newcomb College. She was a member of the Junior League of New Orleans and was an active participant in their Garden Club and Interior Decorating Club. In addition, she was a member of the Orleans Club and Le Petit Salon. As a member of Trinity Episcopal Church she delighted in volunteering, especially with the other “Rummage Ladies”.

She is also survived by grandchildren, Virginia Stewart Evans (Ryan), William Parker Stewart, Jr. (Laine), Charles Eshleman Stewart, Charles Robert Eshleman (Logan McClellan), Katherine Boh Eshleman, step grandchildren Michael Christopher Canseco (Julie) and Katherine Canseco Holstein (Ryan) and a great grandchild, Keighley Eshleman Evans.

Helen was preceded in death by her parents Alice Stockmeyer Keighley Turner and William Emerson Turner and her sisters Alice Edith Keighley, Marion Keighley Cotonio and Catherine Turner Pratt.

A funeral service will be held at Trinity Episcopal Church at 1329 Jackson Ave. on Thursday, August 9, 2018. Visitation will be at the church at 9:00 am with a service at 10:30 am. Private burial will follow. In lieu of flowers, donations to Trinity Episcopal Church, 1329 Jackson Avenue, New Orleans, LA 70130 are preferred or to the charity of your choice.
