James Montgomery Doss, 86, passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by his loving family on September 10, 2016 in New Orleans, Louisiana. He is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife of twenty years, Betty Brooks Doss; daughter, Cecile Doss Thompson (Dwayne); son, James Montgomery Doss, Jr. (Marla);daughter, Pamela Jeanne Bohne (Robert); sister, Connie Gorman; granddaughters, Anne Neal Thompson and Lacey Anne Doss. Jim was a member of the Order of St. Lazarus for eighteen years and was a parishioner of the Orleans Civil Parish. A graveside service will be held at Magnolia Cemetery in Apalachicola, Florida. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Pl, Memphis, TN 38105.
