James E. Fraser

James Edward Fraser passed away at his New Orleans home on Friday, July 5, 2024 at the age of 82. He was born in Berkeley, California on September 29, 1941. After college, he embarked on a long career in jewelry sales, eventually retiring from Adler’s. He was a faithful parishioner of St. Dominic’s Catholic Church and often volunteered in their adoration chapel. In his free time, he cheered on the San Francisco 49ers and the Chicago Cubs and also enjoyed dinner parties and traveling.

He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Del Norte Migues Fraser; sons, Derek Lancaster and David Lancaster; grandchildren, Jack, Laura, Drew, and Isabella Lancaster; great grandchildren, Macy and Melodi; and many other extended relatives, family, and friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Mass in the chapel of Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd in New Orleans, on Wednesday, July 17, 2024 at 12 PM. Visitation will begin at 10 AM. After the chapel service, Jimmy will be laid to rest in All Saints Mausoleum.
