

She is preceded in death by her loving and devoted husband, John D. Martin, son, Harry J. Thompson, parents, Geraldine and George Keim, and brothers, George, Jerry, Raymond, and John Keim.
She is survived by her daughters, Wendy DiFulco (Charles) and Bonny Walton (Charles), daughter-in-law Sharon Thompson, grandchildren, Melanie Walton, James Walton, Devon Thompson (Amy), Dillon Thompson (Allison) and her 3 great-granddaughters, Rosemary, Elsie, and Florence. She is also survived by her siblings, Richard Keim, Barbara Hester, Patricia Beard, Carol Johnson, and Louise Cascio as well as numerous nieces and nephews whom she adored.
Jean was a devoted mother and grandmother who always prioritized her family and showered them with love and generosity. She was an incredible cook and enjoyed preparing meals for family gatherings. She also enjoyed working and retired from her receptionist job at Soza Clinic earlier this year. She was well loved by an abundance of friends and family and will be eternally missed by all who knew her.
Her life and legacy will be celebrated on November 8, 2025, at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. New Orleans, Louisiana. Visitation will be held from 10 AM – 12 PM with a memorial Mass to begin at 12 PM.
