Jennie Barcia Spitale on Saturday, December 3, 2016. Age 91 years. Wife of the late Tony A. Spitale, Jr. Mother of Al (Terry), Joseph (Cathy), Charles and Gerald (Sandy) Spitale. Grandmother of Joseph (Mary Beth) Spitale, Nicholas Spitale, Leanne (David) Schexnaydre, Jessica (Trent) Fresina, Brent Spitale and Jordy Spitale. Great grandmother of David, Julia, Katie, Joseph and Andrew. Sister of Mary (Joseph) Evola, Rose (Peter) Evola, Josephine (the late Herb) Schmit, Joseph (Eleanor) Barcia, and the late Henry (Josie) Barcia, Guy (Annamae) Barcia, and Alphonse (Vera) Barcia. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Jennie was a loving mother, sister and grandmother. Special thanks to Pinkey, Jocabeth and the staff of Advantage Medical Professionals and Canon Hospice, especially Bobby & Carol for their kindness and compassionate care. Also special thanks to Drs. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at LAKE LAWN METAIRIE FUNERAL HOME, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. (in Metairie Cemetery) on Wednesday, December 7, 2016 at 12:00 Noon. Visitation will begin at 9:00 AM. Interment will follow in All Saints Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers Masses in her honor may be made at St. Benilde Catholic Church.
