

Jill Ann Kirschenheuter passed away on Friday, April 26th, 2019 of Metastatic Renal Cancer. She had just turned 60 years old on April 9th. Born and raised in New Orleans, Jill lived for almost 30 years in San Francisco, California, and Seattle, Washington, before returning home to New Orleans in 2015. She graduated from Dominican High School in 1978 and from the University of New Orleans with a B.S. in Education. She worked in the elevator and escalator industry for 26 years. Jill was passionate about her job, loved attending concerts (her favorites included U2 and Coldplay), never missed a festival in New Orleans, and spent her spare time making jewelry and taking photographs. A Physical Education teacher in her 20s in New Orleans, she remained committed to fitness and walking her entire life. More than anything, Jill loved her cats, Inky and Granite, now 19 years old.
She is preceded in death by her beloved fiancé, Arnie Rodley of Seattle, Washington, and her father, Daniel L. Kirschenheuter
Jill is survived by her mother, Carmen Kirschenheuter Humphrey and step-father; Donald Humphrey; her brother, Chris Kirschenheuter and wife, Maryann; her brother Todd Kirschenheuter and wife,Cheri; her sister Donna Levine and husband, Daniel; her step-sister, Holly Snyder and husband, Mark; her step-brother, Ragan Humphrey and wife Martha; and many amazing nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and devoted friend
Relatives and friends are invited to attend visitation and mass on Tuesday, May 7th, 2019.
Visitation will begin at 10am. Mass will begin at 11am. Interment will follow at Lake Lawn Park Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to a local charity of your choice.
