Jimmy T. Phillips of Kenner, Louisiana passed away on April 5, 2025, at the age of 80. He was born in Laurel, Mississippi on March 27, 1945, son of the late Robert and Hattie Phillips, brother of the late Alice Carter, Weeda Jefcoat, Clyde Phillips and Lovell Phillips. Jimmy served in the United States Marine Corps, loved Long Haul Trucking as owner/operator, and spent time as an Animal Activist. He was the beloved husband of Mary Joel Phillips for 51 years.
A visitation for Jimmy will be held Thursday, April 17, 2025, at 10:00 AM at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd., New Orleans, Louisiana 70124, followed by a memorial service at 11:00 AM.
