

John is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Denise Fabacher Weinmann; his daughter, Ashley Weinmann Nuccio (Travis); his two sons, Don David Doussan (Hillary) and John S. Weinmann, III (Zaida); his fifteen grandchildren, Donnovan Doussan, Teagan LeBlanc (Billie), Kinsley Doussan, Oliver Doussan, Connor Weinmann, Logan Weinmann, Parker Weinmann, John Luke Weinmann, Laila Nuccio, Luke Nuccio, Josie Nuccio, Gianna Nuccio, Tiana Parks, Alayna Parks, and Lilliana Parks; three great-grandchildren, Kaleb Hamrick, Kai Hamrick, and Taysom LeBlanc; his two sisters, Mary Ellen Weinmann Miller (C. A.) and Susan Weinmann Winkler (Joe); and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, John S. Weinmann, Sr. and Anna Ellen Clesi Weinmann.
John was born in New Orleans on April 23, 1949. He graduated from St. Aloysius High School, class of 1967. After graduating from high school, he enlisted with the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. He retired as District Chief from the New Orleans Fire Department in 2007 after 35 years of dedicated service.
John enjoyed fishing and hunting, and, most of all, spending time with his family.
The family would like to extend their gratitude to the doctors and staff of East Jefferson General Hospital for the care they provided to Johnny.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the memorial Mass in the chapel of Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. in New Orleans, on Monday, September 16, 2024 at 1:00PM. A visitation will be held at the funeral home beginning at 11:00AM. The interment will follow the Mass at All Saints Mausoleum in Metairie Cemetery.
