Joseph John Barone, 82, devoted husband and loving father, passed away peacefully in Metairie on Father’s Day, June 19, 2016. He is survived by his wife, Ann Longley Barone. His three favorite daughters; Jennifer Taylor, Jo Ann Barone and Susan Bagot and his two favorite sons-in-law; Ken Bagot and Glenn “GT” Taylor. His two grandsons; Jonah Longley Barone Kotzen and Mason Bontrager. His sister; Mary Ann Barone and a host of friends.
Joseph, “Joe”, graduated from Jesuit High School in 1952 and Tulane University in 1956 and went into the Army in Washington D.C from 1956-1958 where he met and married his beautiful wife after 13 dates. He was a salesman for years, retired and became a teacher and tutor (his true calling). He became a part of the family of Ridgewood Prep, De La Salle, St. Gerard Majella and the Archdiocese of New Orleans.
A Mass celebrating his wonderful life will be held at St. Clement of Rome Church in Metairie, LA. on Wednesday, June 22, 2016 at 3pm.
