father of Kathleen Pedersen, Deborah Reis and Betty Small. Father-in-law of Andrew Pedersen and John Small.

Grandfather of Amanda Avery, Jonathan Small and Emily Small. Predeceased by his brother, Frank Joseph Reis and friend Bessie Haggerty. Resident of New Orleans and Metairie.

Was currently residing at Ville Ste. Marie Senior Living in Jefferson, LA. He was a parishioner of St. Clement of Rome Church.

He was loving, kind, and generous to everyone he met and he loved to laugh.

He loved Mardi Gras and was known as "The Bead Man" in City Park who gave out beads to tourists on tour buses.

He was one of the first volunteers to help install the lights for Celebration in the Oaks. He also volunteered as a gardener at Longue Vue Gardens.

His children and grandchildren were the center of his life and he will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate his life on Tuesday, December 30th, at St. Clement of Rome Church, on West Esplanade Ave., Metairie, LA.

Visitation at 10:00 am, Mass at noon. Interment will follow mass at the Lake Lawn Park Mausoleum.
