

Josephine “Josie” Annette Devall, age 11, of New Orleans was taken from us on Saturday, February 21, 2026, but she left us a lifetime of memories. Josie was born on August 4, 2014, to Joseph “Joey” Devall, Jr and Eileen Dunn Devall.
A 6th grader at the Academy of the Sacred Heart, Josie made many friends that she loved deeply and made a lasting impression on the faculty. She had a passion for reading, arts and crafts, and writing stories. She also enjoyed swimming, tennis, and playing the piano.
Josie treasured her summers spent at Greystone and Riverview camps, where her love for adventure and friendship flourished. Josie cherished the time spent with her family and friends, creating countless memories filled with her goofiness, laughter, and love.
Josie's bright spirit will remain in the hearts of all who knew her, a testament to the rich and precious life she lived, albeit too brief.
Josie was preceded in death by her grandmother, Kathy Devall.
Survivors include her parents, Joey and Eileen Devall; siblings, Hailey and Aidan; grandparents, Joe Devall and Diane and Angelo Marchese; aunts and uncles, Monica and Kenny Devall, Katie and Matt Devall, Rosemary and Luke Ahearn, Jill and Keith Dunn; and numerous cousins and friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation from 12:00 until 2:00 p.m. on Monday, March 2, 2026, at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd, New Orleans. The funeral mass will follow at 2:00 p.m., with the Rev. Patrick Carr officiating. Interment will be in Metairie Cemetery.
