Judy Heinsz Smith

She was preceded in death by her parents, Elwood Heinsz Sr. and Marie Heinsz, and her sister, Dianne Heinsz Ziegler. She is survived by her daughter, Shanna Smith Shannon (Justin), grandchildren, Brody and Addison Shannon, brother, Elwood John Heinsz Jr. (Debi), sister, Suzanne Heinsz Unger (John), and brother in law, Louis Ziegler Jr. as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

JuJu was loved dearly by her two grandchildren, Brody and Addison.

Judy was a loving mother, sister, aunt, friend and especially grandmother. She was most proud of her daughter and grandchildren. They meant the world to her.

She enjoyed watching her grandchildren play sports, playing bunco, going to the casino, and her annual beach vacation with friends. The holidays were her favorite time of the year and everyone enjoyed her beautiful decorations.

Judy always had a smile on her face and her laugh and sense of humor were infectious. She will be forever missed by all who knew and loved her and will be in our hearts until we meet again.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Memorial Mass at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd., on Friday, October 12, 2018, at 2pm. A visitation will begin at 12pm.
