Karen L. (Kaye) Koehler passed away on August 15, 2024 at the age of 64. She is preceded in death by her parents, Ernest W. Koehler, Sr., and Annie Lyles Koehler. She is survived by her brother Ernest W. Koehler, Jr. (Debbie) and her nephew Andrew Koehler (Alexandra) and her two great nephews, James, and Thomas. Born in New Orleans, she graduated from LSU School of Dentistry, earning a dental hygiene degree. She later returned to the school and earned her doctor of dental surgery degree.
After graduation, she moved to Monroe, Louisiana, to join a dental practice and later became a solo practitioner, beloved by many of her patients, associates, and colleagues. After her retirement, she became a consultant to the industry. Karen was an avid animal lover and had a big heart for dogs.
Visitation will be September 5, 2024 at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd., beginning at 10 a.m. A service will follow at 11 a.m. Interment will occur at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the charity of your choice are preferred.
