Loretta was born in New Orleans on April 11, 1938. Before her cancer diagnosis in January 2022, she spent her time gardening, doing crafts, puzzles, and running the streets as well as socializing at her local YMCA. What she enjoyed most though was loving her family, especially her granddaughter, Casi, who had lived with her for several years as well as her 4-pound chihuahua who never wanted to leave her side. She was also a parishioner of St. Philip Neri Catholic Church.
Loretta was preceded in death by her loving husband of 57 years, Peter F. Vizzini, Jr.; parents, Thomas and Esther Villarrubia Chauvin; and brothers, Patrick and Vincent Chauvin.
Loretta is survived by her two children, Kathy V. Hauser (Kenneth) and Daniel S. Vizzini (Wendy Barrilleaux); grandchildren, Casi A. Reuss and Jena M. Vizzini; a niece and several nephews; and her deeply beloved dog, Gator.
A graveside ceremony will be held for her on Friday, May 19, 2023 at 10:00AM at All Saints Mausoleum (in Metairie Cemetery), 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. in New Orleans.
