She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Joseph A. Paternostro; daughters, Lynn P. Hodgson (Charles) and Anna P. Lucurto (Kelley); sons, Luke A. Paternostro (Jennifer) and Joseph X. Paternostro (Connie); grandchildren, Charles Hodgson IV (Kaeli), Kelley Lucurto Jr., Jules Lachney III (Amanda), Brittany Paternostro, Joey Lucurto (Scarlett), Joannah Cathcart, Luke Paternostro Jr. (Bernadette), Josh Paternostro, Rita Lucurto, and Matthew Paternostro; great grandchildren, Collin and Stella Lucurto, Gage Cathcart, Harlie Lachney, Luke and Noah Paternostro, and Aaiden and Zoey Hodgson; and brother, Merlin “Ray” Ricks Jr.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Merlin R. Ricks, Sr. and Anna Bruno Ricks; and an infant brother.
Louise was born in New Orleans on August 22, 1939. She graduated from Sacred Heart of Jesus High School in 1957. Louise and Joseph married on September 29, 1957 at the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church in New Orleans. They later moved to Metairie in 1961 and have been parishioners of St. Christopher Church for over 50 years.
She was a devoted wife, mother, and Meme and she will be missed by her loving family. Her home and her arms were always open to everyone. To know her was to love her. She was our sweet Weezy.
